Border Planner helps to coordinate advanced port arrival data for charter buses, tours, and motor coaches traveling/travelling the region’s border crossings through a voluntary, online portal service.
How does it work?
STEP ONE
Bus drivers and companies voluntarily enter trip data in advance:
-Approximate date and time of arrival at the bridges
-Number of passengers
-Citizenship of passengers
STEP TWO
Bridge operators and border services agencies are able to then better adjust staffing at bus processing facilities to reduce traffic congestion and save time for travelers.
Once again, participation in Border Planner is voluntary; though, it is highly encouraged!
This program is being administered by the Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority (PBA), Niagara Falls Bridge Commission (NFBC), and border services agencies in conjunction with the Ontario Motor Coach Association.
